APi is an African-rooted research and learning institute dedicated to advancing appearance dignity, psychosocial well-being, and inclusive social change.

Our work brings together lived experience, psychosocial science, cultural insight, and public engagement to address appearance-based stigma, visible difference, and appearance-related distress across health, education, and social systems.

Through research, learning programmes, and partnerships, APi supports individuals, practitioners, and institutions to respond to appearance-related challenges with clarity, dignity, and evidence-informed care.
